　　His vision, from the constantly passing bars,

　　anything else. It seems to him there are
　　a thousand bars; and behind the bars, no world.
+ H% g5 V) ?6 J9 I# K, U. [8 U　　隔着不时掠过的铁栏，他的目光
　　已变得如此疲倦，再无法
  U  H  Z/ D, ~4 `& m　　承受哪怕一眼。似乎面前
　　有千条栏杆;而栏杆之后别无他物。
　　As he paces in cramped circles, over and over,
! c. I( O$ ?7 }, k  E, J　　the movement of his powerful soft strides
/ ~2 S5 H' q8 q　　is like a ritual dance around a center
　　in which a mighty will stands paralyzed.
　　他强韧的脚步灵巧地回旋，
　　在狭小的空间踱步不止，
' n. U" q) z) p1 H; V: `2 }% o: @　　仿佛某种祭祀之舞围绕着一个中心，
　　在中心一个伟大的意志眩晕。
　　Only at times, the curtain of the pupils
　　lifts, quietly—. An image enters in,
# U% [8 }+ \. k. |5 p　　rushes down through the tensed, arrested muscles,
. v1 A  i8 T1 G% o8 h% H: X　　plunges into the heart and is gone.
　　只有时眼帘无声地撩起——
　　一幅图像从瞳孔浸入，
　　穿过凝神僵立的躯体
